The Greatest Movie EVER! Podcast 
Wow that was a quick double down on the Cage. No complaints here I have never heard of this movie. It’s got Reese/Hicks from Terminator/Aliens. I bet it’s a good one.
Terrible, idiotic movies that suffer delusions of grandeur, that think they are profound and intelligent when they are, in fact, utterly stupid, shallow, and incompetent, are some of my favorite movies.
I think people who call Cage’s performances “bad acting” are mistaken. Bad acting, in my opinion, is painfully dull and unmemorable. It’s the poison of the mundane. Cage may be a lot of things, but he’s rarely half-assing it, even in the worst of his movies, and he’s rarely mundane or dull. I’ll take that any day over bland and boring.
He was mundane in many of his recent movies. The Happening, and Bangkok Dangerous … ugh I saw them both in the theatre for podcast obligations.
I think you probably meant to type “Knowing”, not “The Happening”, Ian. And that whole movie was lousy, not just the Cage sleep-walking through it.
As for “Bangkok Dangerous”, did you not see that part where the Cage touched a baby elephant and then later chopped off a guy’s gun-hand with an outboard motor? Brilliant!
Oh my where is my mind? You’re right. That’s what I meant. The outboard motor was a good part. And the deaf girl. Gotta have a deaf girl for the soon to retire hitman.
You know, every time I see the title of this podcast/movie, I mistake it for a second for “Dead Space,” and then I start thinking about a movie where Cage fights space zombies, and that puts me in a very happy place.
Hopefully, now that I’ve seen the “Deadfall in five seconds” clip above I’m excused from having to sit through the entire film.
Firest, that would be like reading CliffNotes instead of the actual novel.
And if I were reading the Cliff-notes for ‘Richard III’ this would be a problem. Fortunately, in this case it’s more like I’m reading the Cliff-notes for ‘The Overton Window’.
Out of curiosity, will the horrors of The Sorcerors Apprentice grace the halls of The-Greatest-Movie-Ever land?
