Ha. As a follow up you should talk about Yor: The Hunter from the Future. Also, sounds like they are making a third barrage for Black Lagoon so that’s pretty awesome!

Its about bloody time Raquel Welch was a part of this podcast. Here’s hoping something featuring Hanoi Jane will appear as well.

A few years ago I read an article by one of the editors of National Geographic. During a brainstorming session on what to use as a cover for an issue about how modern science has changed our views of the roles of women in prehistoric society, and one of the editors jokingly suggested using the famous pic of Rachel Welch in the fur bikini, and the idea put the entire room into brain-freeze. Because they all knew that it was the perfect pic to use, but at the same time, none of the responsible, staid scientific journalists could wrap their heads around Rachel Welch in a fur bikini on the cover of National Geographic.

It’s a shame I can’t listen to the podcast anymore. Dunno what the deal with the hosting is but it does NOT want anyone with dialup to download.
Oh well.
I sure miss the days when Fox was a big player with their HUGE backlot and costume and prop vaults. So many good movies (and TV shows) were able to be made because of that, or budgets extended because instead of having to root around and make things, they could just go to the vault…
Case in point: I am POSITIVE that the cavemen clothing from this film ended up on the Humans in Planet of the Apes.

and of course I *AM* an idiot, because I forgot that 20th only did DISTRO on the movie, it was made by Hammer. Durrrr.
Yet that sure looks a whole lot like the outfit Nova wore in PotA…
